It looks like Plan A has fallen through and we are back to Plan B - the couple who has been voluntarily and contentedly childless for the entire 31 years of their marriage is about to take in a foster teenager.
Oh well, at least it's for those easy teenage years... ;)
My experience was that 12 and 12 were the more difficult teenage years and by 17 and 18 my daughters were great company and responded well to rational thought. Nevertheless, it it a big change in your life.

Thanks, Ruth - that is good to hear... It is an unusual situation - I hope we can do well by her, even for these few short months... Advice from the voice of experience is very, very welcome! :)
